Air Seychelles is the flagship carrier of the Republic of Seychelles. Founded in 1978, the airline has its headquarters on the island of Mahe. Air Seychelles operates flights to many domestic and international destinations from its main hub at Seychelles International Airport. Despite being a state-owned carrier, Air Seychelles is also partly owned by UAE’s Etihad Airways. The airline is currently offering 160 flights on domestic routes every week. The airline uses Airbus A330-200 aircrafts to operate international long-haul flights. Air Seychelles also has codeshare agreements with many airlines including Airberlin, South African Airways, Air France and Cathay Pacific Airways.
