Air Tahiti Nui is the flagship carrier of French Polynesia. It is headquartered in Papeete. Air Tahiti Nui conducts flight operations to many destinations out of its main hub at Papeete’s Faa'a International Airport. The airline caters to all types of leisure markets internationally. Founded on 31st October 1996, Air Tahiti Nui commenced its first flight operations only after two years in 1998 from November 20. The main objective of Air Tahiti Nui is to develop and promote inbound tourism quite aggressively. Air Tahiti Nui presently serves eight destinations including Auckland, Los Angeles, Sydney, New York City, Osaka, Tokyo, Papeete and Paris. The airline has codeshare agreements with several airlines including Air France, Vietnam Airlines, Air New Zealand, Qantas Airways, American Airlines, Japan Airlines and Delta Air Lines. Air Tahiti Nui presently owns a fleet comprising five Airbus A340-300 aircrafts.
