Transaero Airlines was founded on 5th November 1991. It is the first ever private carrier to have been established in Russia’s history. It is the first airline in Russia to include modern Boeing aircrafts to its fleet. Transaero Airlines is headquartered in Domodedovsky District, Moscow. The airline conducts flight operations to several domestic and international destinations from its main hubs at Moscow’s Domodedovo International Airport and Saint Petersburg’s Pulkovo International Airport. Currently, a total of 99 destinations are being served by Transaero Airlines within Russia and other countries in CIS and Eastern Europe. The airline owns a fleet of 98 Boeing aircrafts and is the sole Boeing 747 operator in the region.
