Uzbekistan Airways is the national carrier of Uzbekistan. It is headquartered in the Uzbek capital city of Tashkent. The state-owned carrier was founded on 28th January 1992. Before the independence of Uzbekistan after the dissolution of USSR, the airline was operated under Aeroflot’s Uzbekistan division. However, the operations of Uzbekistan Airways were transferred to Uzbekistan on 31st May 1992. Uzbekistan Airways is presently operating flights services out of its main hub at Tashkent International Airport to various domestic destinations and international routes to North America, Europe and Asia.
