Cheap Tickets to Phoenix

Phoenix, the state capital of Arizona has risen from its humble background to a popular city in the country today. Known as the Valley of Sun, the city is always spreading joy to all. Blessed with abundant peace and nature’s bounty, it offers a delightful time in exploring its plentiful riches. The city’s geographic location is interesting. It is the most populated capital city in the country, and it stands at number six in terms of most populous cities in the United States. Founded in the year 1867, today it is amongst the most urbanized places in the whole country. The Salt River flows through the city. It also has a history of producing the finest politicians in the country including Sandra Day O'Connor, Carl Hayden, John McCain, William Rehnquist, and Barry Goldwater. Phoenicians take pride in their history, and culture.

The city is home to some of the amazing wonders of the world like the Grand Canyon. As per the Phoenix City Guide, other places worth a visit include The Desert Botanical Garden, Phoenix Zoo, Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, The Apache Trail, and The Heard Museum. Grand Canyon is a 277 miles long steep-sided gorge created by the Colorado River. Unquestionably, it is a delight to the eyes. The mighty canyon is thronged by visitors from different parts of the world. Its history dates back to almost two million years. It was then that an environmental phenomenon gave birth to what would be a future wonder. It has become a popular spot in the city. Young and old alike enjoy their trip to the mighty ravine. Phoenix Zoo is another popular attraction in the city. A hit with the children, the zoo was established in 1962. At present, about 1,400 animals call it their home. It houses creatures like coyote, African wild dogs, iguanas, white rhino, and mountain lion among others.

One can visit the city during the months from March through May. Spring brings a charming aura with it and tourists in this season enjoy their trip and relish their experiences in the city. However, the natural beauty of the city and its powerful magnetism attracts travelers throughout the year.

The city with its vibrant mix of cultures offers a culinary treat to its visitors. Some of the best places to explore delectable recipes include Hue Gourmet (Vietnamese), ShinBay (Japanese), Chou’s Kitchen (Chinese), Distrito (Mexican), Villa Peru (Latin American), Kai (Native American), and Pink Pony (Steakhouse). Distrito is a Mexican restaurant that offers exotic flavors of the land here. Some of the popular delicacies include guacamole, ceviche, and tacos. Their tequila selection is also appreciated by the visitors.

AirTran, Delta Air Lines, united Airlines, American Airlines, US Airways, and Spirit Airlines are some of the carriers that offer connectivity between the city and other parts of the United States and the world.

Though the city is essentially a resort destination one can find cheap hotels in Phoenix around the neighborhoods of Litchfield Road, Van Buren Street, East Main Street, East 29th Avenue, West Chandler Boulevard, and North 53rd Avenue.
