Aer Lingus to add routes, expand service this winter

Aer Lingus, the Irish airline that operates flights to destinations across Europe, North Africa, Turkey and the United States has announced its schedule for the latter half of 2013. The airline has plans to add two new routes to its winter itinerary and increase frequency of few others.

As per an official statement Aer Lingus flights would be available between Dublin and Toulouse through the winter. Service on Shannon –Lanzarote route will commence on October 26 and will continue until March 2014. The carrier will use the services of Aer Lingus Regional to operate twice-daily return flights between Dublin and Newcastle beginning October 24.

It also aims to boost the frequency to Lisbon, Malaga, Lyon, Paris, Geneva, and Hamburg to cope with the increasing passenger demand. The airline is expanding its long haul network and deems it a significant achievement.

The national flagship carrier of Ireland will offer added connectivity between the cities of Dublin and Boston. The carrier has decided to add four more flights for the convenience of its customers. With these additions the total number of flights between the two cities will increase to eleven per week. It will offer flights to Boston, one of the prominent United States cities from Shannon throughout the year.

These additions will give the passengers more options to fly to their destinations. The Irish carrier was established in the year 1936 and its maiden flight debuted on May 27, 1936 from Dublin to Bristol.
