Aer Lingus to target business routes after moving to George Best Belfast City Airport

Aer Lingus flights are all set to begin operations out of George Best Belfast City Airport after moving from Belfast International.

The airline will be shifting its operations from Belfast International after five years and will start its services out of George Best Belfast City Airport in the autumn, from October 28, 2012.

Aer Lingus in a statement said that it will be basing two of its aircrafts at George Best Belfast City Airport during the winter, while three aircrafts will be stationed at the airport during the summer.
 
The airline has already prepared its winter schedule for 2012 and indicated that it will be targeting two key routes to London Heathrow and London Gatwick for leisure and business travelers.

Aer Lingus flights will be operating three flights each daily to London Gatwick as well as London Heathrow from Belfast city airport.
 
The airline further stated that the summer flight schedule will start operations from the end of March 2013. The airline will be operating daily flights to Faro and Malaga.
