AeroMexico launches new U.S. routes in April-June 2014

Mexico’s flagship carrier AeroMexico this year launched three new routes between Mexico and United States. The routes were launched from U.S. cities of San Francisco and Chicago in the months of April and June.

AeroMexico started operating new flights to León-Bajío and Morelia from San Francisco from April 7, 2014, while flights services between Morelia and Chicago O’Hare International Airport became operational from June 7, 2014.

The flights to these new destinations are being operated under the airline’s Aeromexico Contigo brand. The new flights will greatly benefit those who are frequent travelers between the United States and Mexico.

The new service from San Francisco is being operated thrice weekly. According to AeroMexico, the flights between San Francisco and Morelia will be operated on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The flight from San Francisco International Airport will depart at 10.15 pm and arrive at Morelia’s General Francisco J. Mujica International Airport at 4.11 am next morning. The return flight will depart from Morelia at 6 am and reach San Francisco at 8.35 am. The return flight will be operational on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The airline further stated that the flights between San Francisco International Airport and León-Bajío’s Guanajuato International Airport (also called Del Bajío International Airport) will operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays. The airport serves both the cities of León and Bajio. According to AeroMexico, the flight will depart from San Francisco at 10.17 pm and arrive at León-Bajío at 4.05 am next morning. The return flight will depart from León-Bajío at 6 am and reach San Francisco at 8.25 am. The return flights will operate on Mondays and Fridays.
