Aeromexico to buy 100 aircrafts from Boeing, places orders worth $11 billion

There will be expansion of Aeromexico flights on various international routes as the airline is replenishing its fleet with 100 additional aircrafts.

Mexico’s national flag carrier Aeromexico recently announced it has placed a $11 billion provisional order with aircraft maker Boeing.
 
The airline in a statement said that it will be acquiring 100 aircrafts of different makes. Elaborating further, Aeromexico said that it has placed orders for 90 737 MAX 8 aircrafts as well as 10 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners.

According to Aeromexico, this is the biggest ever investment being made by a Mexican carrier for seeking new aircrafts in the country’s history.
With this new deal, Aeromexico is making efforts to overhaul its existing fleet of 110 aircrafts over the next decade. The purchasing of new aircrafts is also aimed at significantly reducing fuel bills, which also has become a trend among various carriers across the world.

Aeromexico considers this as quite an important order as it is seeking to expand its flight network in the next few years.
