Air Canada expanding flights to Asia next summer

Air Canada recently announced it will be expanding its flights services across the Pacific and would include more destinations in Asia.

The airline in a statement said that new Air Canada flights services would be expanded to Asian countries, such as South Korea, Japan and China. The flights to these three countries would begin from next summer.

An Air Canada spokesperson said that the airline will begin offering thrice weekly flights services between Toronto and South Korean capital Seoul starting from June 2, 2013. Currently, the airline is operating flights between Vancouver and Seoul. The new Toronto-Seoul route will be in addition to the existing Vancouver-Seoul service.

The airline also disclosed that three more weekly flights services between Toronto and Beijing starting from June 1, 2013. The three additional flights would bring a total of 10 flights every week on Toronto-Beijing route. Apart from this, the airline is also planning to add four flights every week between Vancouver and Beijing, thus bringing a total of 11 flights per week, including a late-night departure, which is popular with business travelers.

Air Canada also stated that it is planning to begin daily flights between Calgary and Tokyo starting from May 1, 2013. Last summer the airline operated five flights every week between the two cities.
