Second daily Los Angeles-Beijing flights launched by Air China

Air China recently announced the launch of its second daily, nonstop flights between Los Angeles and Beijing.

Air China flights to Los Angeles from Beijing were launched on June 1, 2012 utilizing the upgraded new generation B777-300ER aircraft.

Earlier, Air China introduced the Los Angeles-Beijing service in February this year. This was the airline’s first service from the U.S. to use the greener, cleaner and more fuel-efficient “triple seven”. Air China is also the only carrier to offer nonstop service between Los Angeles and Beijing.

The airline said in a statement that its daily nonstop New York-Beijing flight is also scheduled to be upgraded to B777-300ER aircraft from October 1, 2012. The airline is also planning to upgrade its San Francisco daily nonstop flights with its own B777-300ER aircraft.

Air China is currently a member of Star Alliance, a leading global airline alliance. The global network of Star Alliance includes 1300 airports in 190 countries with more than 21000 daily flights.
