Air France and Air Antilles Express announce partnership

Air France recently announced it has entered into a partnership with Air Antilles Express and would initiate joint commercial operations from October 28, 2012.

The airline said that the partnership will be implemented to operate flights between Fort de France (Martinique) and Saint Lucia.

The partnership will enable Air France flights to be operated to Saint Lucia from Europe thrice weekly. According to the airline, flights on Fort de France-Saint Lucia route would be offered as a continuation of Air France’s transatlantic flights, and would be operated by Air Antilles Express with the help of an ATR 42-500 aircraft.

Currently, Air France is operating its flights services between Martinique and Guadeloupe. The airline operates flights to Martinique as well Guadeloupe 13 times every week with the help of a Boeing 777-300 aircraft. The flights are operated out of Paris-Orly airport. Apart from this, the airline also operates flights to these two destinations from Paris’ Charles de Gaulle International Airport once every week.
