Air France announces June operational results, passenger traffic up 4.6 percent

Air France flights have put up quite a strong showing in June this year. The airline, while announcing its operational results for June 2012, said that it is euphoric at the outcome.

Air France in a statement said that its passenger traffic reported an increase of 4.6 percent for capacity up 1.9 percent. This resulted in a 2.2 point increase in load factor to 84.2 percent.

According to the June results, there were 6.90 million passengers who bought Air France flights tickets and traveled to their respective destinations. The unite revenue per available seat kilometer also progresses when compared to the same month in 2011.

The airline stated that its passenger traffic on the Americas network increased 5.6 percent, while its capacity was up 1.7 percent. The airline disclosed that its load factor also showed an improvement by 3.4 points to 90.3 percent.

The airline was also upbeat at its outcome on its flights network in Asia, Middle East, Africa, Caribbean, Indian Ocean and Europe.
