Air France Expands Codeshare Pact with Jet Airways

Air France, the flag carrier of France announced recently that it has signed a codeshare pact with Jet Airways, one of India’s leading Aviation Company. With this codeshare Air France will now be able to offer its passenger smoother connectivity flying from 12 major cities of France, United Kingdom and Europe to India.

With this code share partnership passengers traveling from cities like Lyon, Nice, Toulouse and Marseille in France and Prague, Madrid, Hamburg, Birmingham, Dublin, Newcastle and Manchester in Europe will be able to fly to all the Indian cities where Jet Airways is flying.

Code share flights are up for sale from April 2 and will be available for travel from May 14, 2014. With this Jet Airways will now be putting its marketing code on flights operated beyond Paris by Air France, allowing enhanced and smooth network connectivity across UK, domestic France and other countries.

At present Air France has its marketing code on Jet Airways domestic flights to Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Delhi. Senior vice president, Middle East, Gulf and India - Air France-KLM, Tjalling Smit, said that airline is extremely pleased with its decision. This code share will further strengthen our bonds with Jet Airways. He further said that we are confident of this extension pact, more so as the reciprocalities of our networks will definitely prosper in this rapidly expanding market with Europe and India.
