Air France the national carrier of France has recently launched an A380 Airbus to fly from Paris to Hong Kong. This superjumbo double-decker first operated on this route on May 27, 2014.
A380 will initially serve on this route four times a week i.e. on every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sundays. On rest of the days i.e. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays the route will be operated using Boeing 777-300 aircraft. Nevertheless, from June 9 to June 15 and June 23 to October 25, 2014 the route will be exclusively served by the superjumbo aircraft.
The Paris-Hong Kong flight will be a night flight. The flight will depart from Paris at 23:25 and arrive in Hong Kong at 17:20 the next day. Return flight will leave from Hong Kong at 00:50 arrive in Paris at 08:00 the same day.
This double-decker service will offer a total of 516 seats divided into four different seat classifications. Nine seats in first class (La Première), 80 seats in business class, 38 seats in premium economy, and a whooping 389 seats in economy class. Passengers flying on this aircraft will witness spacious cabins and exception comfort while traveling. Ample natural light, 6 bars placed strategically within the aircraft and noise levels lesser by 5 decibels; all clubbed together will make passengers feel more energetic and fresh during their flight. The most striking feature of this aircraft is an area dedicate especially towards arts and crafts.
Air France in service from the last 75 years, has plans to offer its A380 service during 2014’s summer to seven more destinations covering three continents.
Prior to unveiling A380 service to Hong Kong, Air France flew it only to Shanghai in China. The airline is on its way to deploy a total of nine A380s to fly in this summer. These aircrafts will fly to New York, Johannesburg, San Francisco, Washington DC, and Los Angeles.
