Air France to launch new campaign targeting Australia’s resources industry

Air France flights are now eyeing Australia’s resources industry in an effort to rake in profits.

Air France-KLM recently announced it will be launching a new campaign to target Australia’s resources industry and make efforts to create awareness of flights to main oil, gas and mining exploration regions of Africa.

Air France along with its partner airline KLM currently operates flights services to 52 destinations in Africa. The two carriers are continuing to expand their flights to major resources markets.

Recently, Air France started new daily services between the French capital Paris and Nigerian capital Abuja.

More than 110 departures are being conducted every week by both air France and KLM from Australia to Europe. The services are being offered through codeshare agreements with partner airlines including Malaysia Airlines and Qantas Airways.

Tom Reeves, Air France-KLM’s Regional Manager Australia and New Zealand, said that both Australia and Africa are seeing a boom in the resources industry. He said that his company has a broad network of destinations and increasing number of flights to ably connect customers between the two markets.
