Air New Zealand cut airfares on several regional routes to boost tourism

Travelers visiting New Zealand can now look forward to book Air New Zealand flights at cheap rates to various domestic destinations. The airline recently announced a sharp cut in airfares on several regional routes, including those on Christchurch-Rotorua route.

The airline in a statement said that the travelers will now be able to book Air New Zealand flights tickets at heavily discounted rates. According to the airline, it’s a great opportunity for customers as they are being offered a reduction in seat-only fares by up to 18 percent.

The airline has decided to provide discounted airfares to the travelers in order to boost tourism in the country. This decision was taken after extensive consultations at a special invitation only ‘Think Regional’ tourism forum, which was attend by Air New Zealand officials and representatives from various regions in the country. During the discussion, ways were identified that would enable Air New Zealand to effectively work with regional areas in order to fast-track tourism growth strategies.

The airline stated that the customers would be able to take the advantage of the new fares for travel starting from October 15, 2012.
