Air New Zealand planning to offer direct flights to Buenos Aires

Travelers from New Zealand to Latin America can now look forward to direct Air New Zealand flights to Buenos Aires.

The airline in a statement said that there are plans to launch direct flights to Argentina’s capital Buenos Aires on a permanent basis.

The airline recently operated a charter flight for the All Blacks Rugby team and carried the fans as well to the Argentine capital. The All Blacks will be playing with the Pumas in the Investec Rugby Championship. The airline operated the charter flight with the help of a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

The airline stated that operating the charter flight was important and it has tried to meet the standard as required by the Civil Aviation Authority. The airline said that the flight on the first route between New Zealand and South America was a success.

The airline is considering offering flights between Auckland and Buenos Aires. Aerolineas Argentinas recently stopped operating direct flights between Auckland and Buenos Aires on July 1 this year.
