Korean Air is the national airline of South Korea and the largest carrier in the country. It is headquartered in Gonghang-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul. Founded in 1962 by the Government of South Korea, the airline functioned under the name of Korean Air Lines. The state-owned carrier was founded to replace Korean National Airlines, which was itself founded in 1946. The airline is however now operating its flights services to many domestic and international destinations from its main hub at Incheon International Airport under the present name of Korean Air. Korean Air is currently serving 130 destinations spread across 45 countries worldwide.
