Vietnam Airlines, the flagship carrier of Vietnam, was founded in January 1956. The state-owned carrier has its headquarters in Long Bien District, Hanoi. The airline provides flight services to many domestic and international destinations from its main hub at Noi Bai International Airport. The airline’s other primary hub is at Tan Son Nhat International Airport. Vietnam Airlines initially started domestic service, but later on expanded to other international destinations as well. Currently, the airline is serving 21 domestic destinations within Vietnam and 28 international routes across Australia, Europe and Asia. Vietnam Airline is also a member of SkyTeam airline alliance since June 2010.
