AirTran Airways launches flights to several international markets

AirTran Airways recently launched its flights services to several international markets in May and June this year.

The airline started offering AirTran Airways flights tickets to the recently-introduced international markets, including San Antonio, Austin, Orange County, and Chicago Midway, as well as between Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport and San Juan, Puerto Rico.

AirTran Airways flights started nonstop operations between San Antonio and Cancun starting from May 24, 2012.

Cancun was the airline’s first international destination where nonstop flights started being operated out of San Antonio International Airport. The flights are being operated four-times every week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The airline also announced that it will be operating three weekly nonstop flights between these two destinations on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, starting from September 1, 2012 through the end of the current winter schedule.

The airline also started operating one daily nonstop flight between San Antonio and Mexico City starting from May 24, 2012. Apart from this, the airline also launched new service between Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport and San Juan on May 24, with two daily nonstop flights.

The airline also started flights between Orange County and Mexico City, as well as between Orange County and Cabo San Lucas/San Jose del Cabo starting from June 3 this year.
