AirTran Airways summer flight schedules announced, to launch new routes

AirTran Airways recently announced its summer flight schedule and also decided to extend the date for reservations. The airline is adding new destinations and nonstop routes to its new schedule.

AirTran Airways in a statement said that it is extending the dates for reservations as per its new summer schedule from June 3, 2012 up till August 10, 2012.

The airline said that it will be adding nonstop flights to San Juan from Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood. Besides, the airline will also be launching new nonstop flights to Denver.

Announcing its new flight schedule, AirTran Airways said that it is going to launch 4 new nonstop routes to Mexico in an attempt to expand its global network. Flights to Cancun and Mexico City from San Antonio are due to begin from May 201, while flights to Cabo San Lucas and Mexico City from Orange County will start from June 2012.  The airline indicated that the start of new flights, however, depends on the government approval, and accordingly fares and frequencies will be announced.

However, to celebrate AirTran Airways flights to San Juan from Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood the passengers are being offered introductory fares starting as low as US$69 one-way. The offer can be availed only when the air tickets are booked latest by November 27, 2011.  The airline will be operating two daily roundtrip flights to San Juan from Fort Lauderdale starting from May 24, 2012, for which the ticket bookings are already open.

Besides, new flight services scheduled to begin from June 3, 2012, includes one daily roundtrip flight to Akron-Canton from Denver; one daily roundtrip flight to Dayton from Denver; two daily roundtrip flights to New York LaGuardia from Denver; two daily roundtrip flights to Los Angeles from Baltimore/Washington; one daily roundtrip flight to New Orleans from Baltimore/Washington; two daily roundtrip flights to Seattle from Baltimore/Washington; and one daily roundtrip flight to San Francisco from Baltimore/Washington.
