Alaska Airlines and Aeromexico Codeshare Pact to Boost Growth

As per the recent Media reports frequent flier and codeshare agreement between Alaska Airlines and Mexico’s national flag carrier Aeromexico will promote growth.

According to reports, Alaska Airlines flights would be able to make significant gains by cornering a larger portion of the fast-growing US-Mexico air travel market thus adding to its overall revenue growth.

The current partnership with Aeromexico was much needed for Alaska Airlines because the growth in the domestic U.S. market is moderate. Majority of Alaska Airlines flights are operated in the U.S.

The codeshare agreement between the two carriers would allow passengers booking Alaska Airlines flights tickets or traveling by Aeromexico flights to earn and burn miles on either of the carriers.

The reports said that the flight networks of Alaska Airlines and Aeromexico are highly complementary and the codeshare program would provide various travel options for passengers of both the carriers.
