Alaska Airlines daily flights from San Diego to Honolulu launched

Alaska Airlines recently launched its new daily nonstop flights to Honolulu from San Diego. This is the second Hawaii market for the airline.

Apart from the newly launched Honolulu flights, Alaska Airlines is currently operating daily nonstop flights to Kahului and Maui from San Diego ever since October 2010.

Joe Sprague, Vice President – Marketing of Alaska Airlines, said that Honolulu, with its beautiful beaches, endless sunshine and historic sites, now aptly complements the existing nonstop San Diego-Maui service.

Sprague said that with the launch of the new service travelers from Southern California will be able to avail low fares, best quality services as well as earn Mileage Plan miles whether booking a flight or getting complete vacation package to the scenic, beautiful Hawaiian Islands.

Alaska Airlines said that Honolulu flights as well as other Hawaii flights are operated with Boeing 737-800 aircraft configured with 157 seats – 16 in First Class and 141 in the main cabin. Hawaii-themed meals are available for purchase in the main cabin, while First Class passengers are provided complimentary meal service. Besides, other inflight services are also available, such as Alaska Airlines’ personal entertainment system digEplayer which offers a wide choice of movies, music, TV shows and several other features.
