Alaska Airlines unveils Travel App for Android

Alaska Airlines recently launched its travel application for Android, providing ease and convenience to the fliers carrying Android smartphones. Apart from convenience, the travel application is aimed at providing quick access to travel information.

The features of travel application includes access to a mobile boarding pass; check-in for flights; track boarding information and flight status; select and change seats; create text or email flight alerts; create a parking reminder; access “My Trips” to view multiple flight itineraries; add notes for hotel and car reservations; and track Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan account information.

Curtis Kopf, Managing Director of Customer Innovation of Alaska Airlines, said that the Android travel application is a part of the airline’s focus on using technology and innovation to make travels for customers more enjoyable and easier. Terming Android travel application as a personal concierge service, Kopf further said that the travel app will be tracking customer’s journey along with them and will provide easy access to the travel information which is quite significant for any customer.
