Alitalia resumes flights to Jordan from Rome

Italy’s flag carrier Alitalia recently announced the resumption of its flights to Jordan. The airline reopened its Jordanian route linking Rome to the capital Amman.

The airline will operate flights three-times every week between Rome and Amman on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The airline will also be adding a fourth Monday flight by June this year.

Alitalia flights to Amman from Rome will operated with the new Airbus A-320 aircraft, or with the modernized Airbus A-319 aircraft.

The Airbus A-320 aircraft recently joined Alitalia’s fleet.

Alitalia in a statement said that all the medium-range Airbuses in its fleet have been fitted with slim leather seats offering maximum comfort and improved space for passengers. The aircrafts are also configured in two classes – Business Class or “Ottima” and Economy Class or “Classica”. 

The airline stated that it has been able to reinforce in presence in the Middle East and North Africa with the reopening of Jordanian route.

Apart from Jordan, the airline has been able to expand its operations in Libya (Tripoli and Benghazi), Egypt (Cairo), Algeria (Algiers), Tunisia (Tunis), Morocco (Casablanca), Israel (Tel Aviv), Lebanon (Beirut), Iran (Tehran) and Saudi Arabia (Riyadh).
