British Airways launches ‘Discover Canada’ fares for Nigerians

British Airways has launched special flight deals for travel to select Canadian destinations from Nigeria. The airline would be offering opportunity to Nigerian travelers to book cheap flights under its ‘Discover Canada’ fares.

The airline recently unveiled its series of ‘Discover Canada’ fares exclusively for Nigerians. The airline is offering cheap tickets with return flights starting as low as $630. The airfares would, however, be exclusive of government taxes and fuel surcharges. One free stopover is also allowed on this offer.

The special flight deals under this offer are available for booking up till March 9, 2013. The fares are valid for travel to Vancouver, Toronto and Calgary from Nigeria. The departures would be available from the Nigerian cities of Lagos and Abuja.

The outbound travel on this offer starts from April 15 to 30, 2013. The return travel can take place anytime within the next 12 months.
The airline has unveiled this new offer soon after its Valentine Special Offer ended in February this year.

Emirates Airline offers savings on business class fares from U.S.

Emirates Airline recently announced special deals to travelers from United States offering great savings on business class flights to Dubai as well as select destinations in India.

The airline in a statement said that its customers traveling from the U.S. can take the best advantage of this opportunity and save up to $1,500* on round-trip business class tickets. This offer can be availed only when business class fares are booked latest by March 1, 2013.

According to the airline, this exclusive deal is available for travel from Washington DC (Dulles), Seattle, New York (JFK) and Dallas/Fort Worth. The fares are valid for travel to Dubai and select Indian cities, including Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi and Bangalore.

The outbound travel on this offer starts from February 26 and must be completed by up till April 30, 2013.

The minimum stay allowed for passengers is first Sunday. However, the airline allows a maximum stay of four months on this offer.

Hawaiian Airlines to begin flights to Taipei, begin ticket sales

Hawaiian Airlines recently announced it is all set to begin new flights services to Taiwan’s capital city Taipei. The airline in a statement said that it will be launching the flights to Taipei starting from July 9, 2013.

The airline indicated that it will begin new nonstop flights between Taipei and Honolulu, and will be offering thrice weekly flights.

The airline has launched the sale of flight tickets and offering opportunity to its customers to book cheap flights on Honolulu-Taipei route.

According to Hawaiian Airlines, the inaugural flight would depart from Honolulu International Airport at 1.55 am on July 9, 2013. The flight would arrive at Taipei International Airport at 6.15 am the same day. The flights would be operated on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays every week.

The return flight would depart from Taipei International Airport at 8.55 pm on July 10, 2013. The flight would arrive at Honolulu International Airport at 1.10 pm the same day. The return flights would be operated on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays every week.

Emirates Airline to launch ticket sale for US Open Series events

Sports aficionados should brace to book cheap tickets for 2013 US Open Series events. The sale of tickets would soon be launched for the 2013 Emirates Airline US Open Series events, offering customers opportunity to book cheap flights.

Emirates Airline in a statement said that the customers would now be able to purchase tickets for all the nine of the 2013 US Open Series events through it starting from March 5, 2013.

Emirates Airline will for the first time be coordinating with the USTA for the sale of tickets for all of the US Open Series events.
According to the airline, a national marketing campaign would be launched by the USTA for supporting this initiative.

General Manager of the Emirates Airline US Open Series J. Wayne Richmond said that by coordinating the ticket sale campaign for the Emirates Airline US Open Series events the tennis fans would be provided opportunity to easily buy tickets for the Series and fly with the airline.

Delta Air Lines offering new In-Flight Bedding in Business Class

Delta Air Lines recently announced its customers booking business class tickets would now be offered new In-Flight bedding onboard their flights.

The airline in a statement said that it will be offering new Westin Heavenly In-Flight bedding in its BusinessElite cabins, which has been exclusively manufactured for it.

According to the airline, the new In-Flight bedding is all set to transform the sleep experience of its customers in the air. The customers booking business class flights and traveling on Delta Air Lines in any part of the world would be able to enjoy their new sleep experience onboard their aircrafts.

As part of the new Westin Heavenly In-Flight Bedding, the customers would be offered a comforter with extra luxurious loft and a sleeping pillow. Apart from this, those passengers with flights of over 12 hours would also be receiving a lumbar pillow.

The new In-Flight bedding would be offered on all the international flights. Apart from this, the customers traveling to Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles from New York, and between Honolulu and Atlanta, would also be able to enjoy this facility effective June 2013.

Malaysia Airlines planning to begin flights to India, China

Malaysia Airlines recently announced it is planning to introduce international flights on new routes in India and China. Ahmad Jauhari Yahya, Malaysia Airlines’ Group Chief Executive Officer, in a statement disclosed that the airline is eying new destinations and is making extensive efforts to begin flight operations, particularly in China and India.

Yahya said that in the regional airline market the national flag carrier was bullish about its growth and quite optimistic. He said that the airline would be offering its customers the right value proposition.

He said that Malaysia Airlines would like to seize the opportunity and take advantage of this amid stiff competition from other airlines as well as low-cost carriers.

Talking about ‘Firefly’, a subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines, Yahya said that its new low-cost arm is planning to operate flights to new routes in south Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia. He said that the operations are expected to start soon in the future.

Hawaiian Airlines Adds Flights to Australia and New Zealand

Hawaiian Airlines will be adding 31 seasonal international flights from Honolulu to Australia and New Zealand. The airlines will be flying to Brisbane and Sydney in Australia and to Auckland in New Zealand. With this addition the airline will be offering additional 8800 seats from Hawaii to these two countries during this fall.

Hawaiian Airlines at present flying daily between Honolulu and Sydney will be flying 10 weekly flights from September 11 through October 14, 2013. Honolulu-Brisbane flights will increase to five per week from three per week with effect from September 13 through October 14, 2013. Honolulu-Auckland flights will be increased to four from three per week during September 19 through October 11, 2013.

The airlines said that they have decided to increased flights on this sector during the fall season, as they have over the years witnessed immense traffic during these days. Executive vice President, Peter Ingram said, since fall is the season when families are out of school holidays, hence we have decided to add extra flights between these three sectors. And we are sure that it will provide passengers with more flying options to enjoy their holidays.

British Airways Offers Special Hand Luggage Only Fares

British Airways is set to introduce discounted air tickets to passengers traveling with on hand luggage. The airlines will be offering this trial service to five destinations from Gatwick Airport.

Under this offer passengers will be able to buy cheap tickets when flying from London Gatwick to Tunis, Amsterdam, Turin, Jersey and Dubrovnik. For not checking their baggage into the airplane’s hold they will get a discount of ranging from £9 and £15, on the basis of the city they are traveling to.

These low fare tickets are up for grabs for passengers flying light from Gatwick Airport. The airlines said that they have chosen these five cities as passengers usually fly here on short trips, resulting in minimal luggage. After reviewing the success of the plan the airlines plans to extend this offer on all of its short-haul flights.

Frontier Airlines adding fourth nonstop Fargo-Denver flight

Frontier Airlines recently announced it will begin additional flights services to Denver during the summer schedule.

The airline in a statement said that additional nonstop Frontier Airlines flights would start operating between Fargo and Denver starting from May this year.

The airline stated that the additional nonstop flight from Fargo to Denver would begin operations from May 7, 2013. The flights on Fargo-Denver route would be operated four times every week, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Currently, Frontier Airlines is operating three nonstop flights services to Denver.

The airline will be deploying a 138-seat Airbus 319 aircraft to operate nonstop flights between Denver and Fargo.

Shawn Dobberstein, Hector International Airport’s Executive Director, said that it is a matter of great delight that Frontier Airlines has agreed to begin additional flights from Fargo to Denver during the summer season. The additional flight is expected to fulfill the growing demand of the air travelers from this region.
