Air Asia recently launched the first Fly-Thru service from London to Kuala Lumpur via Melbourne and Christchurch. The launch has made Air Asia one of the first low-cost airlines to offer baggage checking on flights on the single journey.
The Fly-Thru service provides the facility to passengers traveling from London to reserve their seats on the connecting flights under single itinerary, instead of booking another flight. The passengers are provided with the baggage check till the final destination and will be guaranteed a free change of the next available flight if by any chance they missed the connecting flight.
The Fly-Thru service at present is available on flights from London Stansted to Perth, Melbourne and Christchurch. Air Asia has also added the service over the short-haul flights that connect London to Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok, Bali and Singapore. The carrier is hoping to carry the service further throughout the year ahead.
