China’s leading carrier China Southern Airlines has said that it will acquire its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner in Q4 this year.
Earlier, some Chinese airlines including Air China and China Eastern Airlines had placed orders for 59 Boeing 787 Dreamliners few years ago, but the delivery had been postponed.
Boeing CEO James McNerney said, “The jet will be the first 787 to be delivered to a Chinese airline. The 787, a lightweight, fuel-efficient jet, has generated 850 orders worldwide as of November 2010.”
