British Airways, flag carrier if Britain has announced that it will stop operating its flights to Georgia. British Airways office based out of Tbilisi said in a press note, that the airline will leave its Georgia sector from March this year.
British Airways international flight between London and Tbilisi will last fly on March 29, 2013. And from March 31, 2013 the airline will official terminate its operations in Georgia.
Irakli Gordeli, spokesperson for British Airways said that the airline has taken this decision purely for commercial reasons. He said that London-Tbilisi route was proving to be non profitable for the airline and hence the decision to terminate this sector was taken.
