Leading U.S. low cost carrier Frontier Airlines, which is known to offer cheap tickets frequently, recently announced it is moving its operations from Dayton to Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). The airline wants to boost its revenue by tapping the larger population base in the Tri-State.
The airline in a statement said that it is launching its daily nonstop flight to Denver from Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport.
Scott Gould, Frontier Airlines’ Vice President of Flight Operations, said that the airline decided to begin flights from Cincinnati since a number of customers were flying out of Dayton were coming from here.
Gould said that it was a great opportunity for Frontier Airlines to provide more options in Cincinnati. He also said that the airline would consider increasing more frequencies if the demand persists.
Frontier Airlines has been recently in the news for charging for carry-on bags when booked through a third party website.
