Alitalia recently announced the revamp of its frequent flyers loyalty program Mille Migilia. The airline has relaunched its Mille Migilia loyalty program for 2013 to 2015. The airline said that all existing miles under the program would expire next month unless the frequent flyer members collect a special bonus promotion before June 30, 2013.
Alitalia in a statement said that the new features of the relaunched Mille Migilia frequent flyer program for 2013 include earning miles on all flights for any purchased fare, and up to three times more miles when traveling with an Ottima or Magnifica business class tickets to international destinations across the world, or when traveling on domestic flights with a full fare economy class ticket.
According to the airline, the extra miles can also be transferred if the frequent flyer member reaches or exceeds the status threshold to one of the Executive Club tiers. If a member has, for example, earned 30,000 qualifying miles, he/she can use 20,000 miles to join the Ulisse Club, while the remaining 10,000 miles can be credited as qualifying 2014 miles, which can be used for access to the Executive Club the following year.
