Winter, summer or spring, the Swiss city of Geneva never fails to entertain its visitors in any season. The city of Geneva has something for all! Like every year, this year too the city is set to rock you with its array of festivals, live entertainment and major events. Take a look at some of the 2013 festivities:
Geneva Festival (1-11 August, 2013) – The festival featuring world’s most dramatic musical fireworks displays, over hundred concerts and huge colorful funfair with over 200 stalls featuring artistic side of Geneva. The festival enjoys the presence of more than 2 million visitors each year, making it the most sought after and biggest festival of Geneva.
Musical Summer (June 11 to August, 2013) – The event will take place across Geneva in different venues; the Musical Summer festival presents a series of musical performances and recitals. The festival generally emphasis on classical music and orchestra performances. In a nutshell, the festival is a treat for classic and old music lovers.
Cinema Tout Ecran (31st October – 7th November, 2013) – The cine festive of Geneva features a wonderful list of programs including international competition of short film and short films, the event also has a separate celebration/screening of Swiss based short movies. Competitions are not only for cinema, but television as well as web transmedia.
Other events include, Escalade Festival (December, 2013), 13th Annual Geneva Lake Art Association Paint-In (June 8 – 9, 2013) and many others related to music, dance and cultural festivals or events.
