Aegean Airlines recently announced it will start offering flights service between London Stansted Airport and Athens International Airport. The flights between the two destinations would be launched from July 11, 2013.
The airline in a statement said that it will be operating thrice weekly flights on London Stansted-Athens route. The new seasonal service would be offered until September 16 this year.
Aegean Airlines will deploy an Airbus A320 aircraft to conduct flights on this route. Through this new service, the airline aims to provide connectivity with flights to Rhodes, Kos and Corfu.
For the first time, the airline will provide its customers opportunity to book business class tickets. Aegean Airlines is introducing business class cabin for the first time from the UK to offer connectivity to the Greek islands.
The airline is already operating flights three times every week to Athens from London Heathrow. The airline, however, said that the new seasonal flights will significantly raise capacity while providing more affordable airfares.
