Las Vegas-based low-cost carrier Allegiant Air recently announced it will be launching its nonstop jet service to Los Angeles International Airport in September this year.
The airline in a statement said that the twice weekly Allegiant Air flights between Las Vegas and Los Angeles would begin from September 26, 2013. The airline is offering introductory fares starting $54.99 one-way.
Jessica Wheeler, Spokeswoman of Allegiant Air, said that the airline will be operating flights on Los Angeles-Las Vegas route on Thursdays and Sundays each week. However, the airline might change the schedule in the future.
Allegiant Air will be using Airbus A319, A320 or McDonnell Douglas MD-80 aircraft to operate flights on the route.
Last year, the airline started offering nonstop flights between Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport and Provo. The airline further stated that it started offering service between Provo and Oakland International Airport in June 2013. Allegiant Air is also planning to add more destinations in future.
