by Richa G 23. July 2013 04:48

Frontier Airlines, American low cost carrier has announced its decision to end free TV service to its elite frequent fliers. At present Frontier’s elite Ascent and Summit frequent fliers do not pay for using the airlines in-flight television.

The news about Frontier’s latest resolution is shocking for all the customers who have until now used the on board TV free. This set of customers will no longer be entitled to the privileged service that comes with Frontier’s plane tickets.

Kate O'Malley, Spokeswoman for Frontier Airlines confirmed the news. She added that the airline is revisiting its product offerings and the cost associated with each service benefit.

The new change will be effective on all flights departing from August 1, 2013 onwards. The Denver based carrier will charge $3.99 for two-hour or shorter flights, $5.99 for flights between two and three and a half hours and $7.99 for flights longer than three and a half hours.

Frontier operates out of its hub at Denver International Airport.
