Asiana Airlines flights will continue to be operated into the Philippines despite the recent crash of one of its aircrafts at San Francisco International Airport. The South Korean carrier is currently offering services to Manila, Cebu and Clark.

Media reports said that air safety officials of Philippines are waiting for the results of the investigation into the crash at San Francisco. The airline has been allowed to conduct flights into the country pending investigation outcome.

John Andrews, Deputy Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, said that if the investigation points out to Boeing 777 of Asiana Airlines as the cause of the crash then this would have negative implications for the aircraft maker Boeing Co. as well as the airlines operating such aircrafts. He said that if this aircraft’s malfunctioning is finally established then there is great possibility of Boeing 777 aircrafts being grounded worldwide.
