Air Canada is contemplating direct flights between Calgary and the
Chinese capital of Beijing. If all goes well for the airline, it will
soon have a flight between the cities carrying passengers on a
transatlantic route. It believes many business concerns and tourism
related business units are pressing for a strong demand to launch this
service.
Air Canada, the flagship carrier of Canada operates service to over 178
destinations worldwide. It offers flight tickets to destinations in
Asia, Europe, Americas, and Caribbean. The airline has been working
closely with authorities since 2010. However, no confirmation on the
same has been issued till date. For passengers who wish to fly to
Beijing with the airline, the flight between Japanese capital of Tokyo
and Calgary is the only viable option. It wants to capitalize on the
growing demand and commence service that it deems profitable.
The airline is however, facing time slot issues in Beijing. To land in
Beijing at an appropriate time it needs the right slot in the day and
the crunch is responsible for delaying its plans. Beijing is a very busy
city and has no time to spare for the outbound flights from Calgary.
The airline is set to welcome the fuel-efficient Boeing 787 Dreamliner
next year and with the arrival intends to expand its international
reach. The airline is popular with business travelers across the world.
It offers services like priority check-ins, generous baggage allowance,
flat bed seats, delectable meals, and onboard hospitality.
