British Airways likely to reinstate Dublin-London Heathrow service from autumn

British Airways flights tickets will once again be available for flights between Dublin and London Heathrow after the service is resumed.

The airline recently announced its plans to reinstate British Airways flights between Dublin and London Heathrow, likely from the autumn. The service will be resumed after nearly a quarter of a century when flight operations between the two destinations were stopped.

The airline is also likely to use its Terminal 5 building at London Heathrow Airport for its Dublin service, instead of the Terminal 1.

If British Airways eventually decides to operate its Dublin service out of Terminal 5 instead of Terminal 1, then this could as well pose a fresh challenge for Aer Lingus and other carriers on long-haul routes.

British Airways stopped flights on its Dublin-Heathrow and all Irish routes in March 1991 after 44 years serving the country.

Currently, six daily flights services between Dublin and London Heathrow are being operated by BMI, while Aer Lingus is operating flights on Dublin-London Heathrow route nearly 12 times daily.
