British Airways offers new HBO channel on long-haul flights

British Airways has decided to leave no stone unturned in keeping its customers entertained on board their long-haul flights. The airline is upgrading its in-flight entertainment offerings now. The airline has recently launched a new HBO channel to enable the customers have more fun on the flights. The airline has launched the channel acknowledging the fact that time flies while having fun.

British Airways said that HBO is a widely acclaimed global entertainment brand. The airline said that the channel is renowned for belting great hits such as Looking and Curb Your Enthusiasm, True Detective, Girls, True Blood, Boardwalk Empire and Game of Thrones. The airline will be showing all these HBO offerings.

The airline further stated that along with these, a number of movies as well as blockbuster series will be shown on the HBO channel. The channels offerings would be frequently refreshed and kept up to date.

Richard D’Cruze, In-flight Entertainment Manager of British Airways, said that the airline has become the first in the UK to provide its customers a dedicated HBO channel. The passengers will now have access to more entertainment options than previously.

He said that the trend has changed with regards to in-flight entertainment. For quite some time now a ‘binge-watching’ trend is being witnessed in customers on long-haul flights. These days the customers fancy watching back-to-back episodes of TV serials. They either want to simply catch up with all that they might have skipped or just want to keep themselves up to date. With HBO channel now, the customers will be happy, particularly frequent fliers.
