British Airways set to trial a new automatic check-in service for passengers ahead of flight

Now, boarding British Airways flights will become quite convenient for the passengers in future. British Airways recently announced it is all set to trial a new service that will allow its customers to automatically check-in ahead of their flights.

The airline in a statement said that customers booking British Airways flights tickets will be able to use the automated service to check-in 24 hours before their flight. The automated service will also help customers to assign them a seat as well as send them electronic boarding passes.

The airline had launched the trial this month and will be initially offering it to selected customers flying out of French airports. The airline is planning to extend this automated service to a larger group of passengers in the spring.

British Airways has indicated that upon the success of these trials the automated service will be offered as an option to all the customers across the airline’s network by the end of 2013.
