British Airways to launch additional Phoenix-London flights in December

British Airways recently announced it will be launching an additional flight between Phoenix and London at the end of this year.

The airline in a statement said that passengers booking British Airways flights tickets will be able to take the advantage of one more additional flight starting operations between Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and London Heathrow Airport from December 2012.

The additional transatlantic flight between the two cities will be operated six days every week starting from December 5, 2012. The flight is expected to boost the economy and add $100 million in revenues for the Valley.

Greg Stanton, Phoenix Mayor, said, while expressing happiness, that the launch of extra flight is indeed great and welcome news for Phoenix as well as its surrounding areas.

He said that the introducing of additional flight to Phoenix is going to prove beneficial for the entire region and impact on the economy will be large and quite fruitful.
