British Airways upgrading flights on London-Singapore-Sydney route this summer

British Airways recently expressed its commitment to continue offering its services between London and Sydney even though its Joint Services Agreement with Qantas Airways is nearing its end in April next year.

The airline in a statement said that British Airways flights between London and Sydney will be upgraded this summer. The airline will be deploying a new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft to operate its flight services between the two cities.

According to the airline, it will begin operating a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, equipped with the latest technology and seats in each cabin, on the London-Singapore-Sydney route effective from the 2013 northern summer schedule (at the end of March).

British Airways also announced it will be moving its Sydney flights to the newly-built state-of-the-art Terminal 5 at London’s Heathrow Airport. The Terminal 5 houses the newest lounges of the airline as well as the airport’s latest shopping and dining facilities.
