Caribbean Airlines to Offer Additional Seasonal Flights for Early 2015

Caribbean Airlines, flag carrier of Trinidad and Tobago announced that it will be adding few new flights for the period of January 15 to February 4, 2015. This revised schedule has been introduced to cater to the surging travel demand.

Giving further details, the airline said it will be adding a daily nonstop service between Trinidad and New York, increasing the frequency on this route to three daily flights each-way. It will also be using the service of a wide-body aircraft for the first time on this route. The airline will also up its frequency on its Georgetown-New York and will now offer once daily service between the two cities. With this Caribbean airline will now be offering 48 connections per week between Trinidad and New York, which is thrice the amount from any other carrier.

Apart from adding services to the US, the airline is also introducing flights between Trinidad and London from February 4, 2015. As it is the only carrier to offer direct nonstop service between the city pair, it has decided to up the frequency to 4 flights every week. Even frequencies over Trinidad are bettered with daily by flights to/from Miami, Toronto and New York. Direct service to Toronto-Georgetown will be discontinued by the airline from March 1; however it will start offering daily connecting service in both directions.

Passengers when flying using the services of the carrier can expect major savings as the airline will be deploying fuel efficient 737 and 767 aircrafts. With its fuel costs going down, the airline is confident about the success of its new schedule and its profitability.
