Caribbean Airlines welcomes its first Boeing 767 aircraft

Now, passengers can look forward to book Caribbean Airlines flights tickets on its Boeing 767 aircrafts. The airline recently welcomed its first of two Boeing 767 aircraft to its fleet.

Caribbean Airlines in a statement said that its first Boeing 767 aircraft arrived at Piarco on August 28, 2012 amid a rousing welcome by the airline’s staff and the traditional water cannon salute by the fire services.

The airline’s second Boeing 767 aircraft is also scheduled to arrive on Friday, September 7, 2012 and will be subsequently included in its fleet.
The wide-body Boeing 767 aircraft has a capacity to accommodate 221 passengers, and is configured in two classes – 30 seats in Business Class and 191 seats in Economy Class.

According to the airline, Caribbean Airlines flights will be operated utilizing Boeing 767 aircraft on its London route as well as on other major destinations throughout the airline’s route network.

Rabindra Moonan, Chairman of Caribbean Airlines, said that the arrival of the Boeing 767 aircraft has come at a particularly competitive time and said that it is surely a strategic and an important acquisition for the company.
