Copa Airlines launches flights between Fort Lauderdale and Panama

Copa Airlines has expanded its network to Latin America further. The airline recently launched its new nonstop flights services from Fort Lauderdale to Panama City. The new route was introduced by Panama’s national carrier amid great fanfare and celebrations.

Media reports said that Copa Airlines will be operating the flights between Panama City’s Tocumen International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. flights on this route will be operated four times every week. The airline will convert this into a daily service in future.

The reports said that the airline will be operating the flights on Fort Lauderdale-Panama City route on every Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays every week. The flight will depart from Fort Lauderdale at 5.44 pm and arrive at Panama City at 8.23 pm. The airline will be deploying a Boeing 737-700 Next Generation aircraft on the route, which will be configured with 12 business class seats and 112 economy class seats.

Copa Airlines is presently operating out of three gateways in Florida, including Tampa, Orlando and Miami. The airline will make Fort Lauderdale its fourth gateway in Florida. The airline said that it decided to launch flights to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport considering the growing demand from the travelers.

The launch of flights to Fort Lauderdale is also being seen as a great opportunity for travelers from Latin America to connect to this premier destination in the United States for their holidays.

In Latin America, Copa Airlines is also operating flights to seven destinations in Brazil and nine destinations in Colombia.
