Copa Airlines Q4 profit up 10.6 percent

Panama’s leading carrier Copa Airlines recently announced its operational results for Q4 2011. The airline displayed enthusiasm while announcing the results.

The airline said that its Q4 2011 net profit has increased 10.6 percent to $104.4 million. The results demonstrate that the company’s net profit has boosted to $310.4 million, a 28.8 percent increase as compared to the same period in 2010.

Copa Holdings SA, the parent company of Panama-based Copa Airlines, which also operates Copa Airlines Colombia, reported earnings per share of $2.36 for the quarter and $6.98 for the year.

The company in a statement said that Copa Airline’s consolidated passenger traffic increased 15.6 percent in Q4 2011. It also said that international traffic growth furthermore grew 21.7 percent.
