Copa Airlines to add ninth flight to San Juan

Copa Airlines has a golden chance in the waiting. The airline, which provides service to Costa Rica has an opportunity to cash on the void left by Avianca, the flagship carrier of Colombia in the country. Avianca has decided to cut routes and reduce its service to the country including its capital San Juan.

Avianca, which has decided to pull out of its Costa Rica hub, gives many airlines including the carriers of the United States the chance to reschedule their itinerary. In fact some carriers have been boosting capacity to San Juan in the recent past.

Passengers traveling on Copa Airlines tickets to San Juan will benefit from the extra options that the airline is set to provide by adding capacity on the route. It is scheduled to add ninth flight between the cities of Panama City and San Juan.

Currently it flies as the flagship carrier of Panama. It operates out of its main hub at Tocumen International Airport in Panama City. It offers air connectivity to more than 10 million passengers. At present, it runs 310 daily flights across 65 destinations in 29 countries spread in the Americas and the Caribbean.

Founded in 1947, the carrier has been serving its passengers by offering air connectivity to various cities. It uses its fleet of 89 planes comprising Boeing 737 NG and Embraer E-190 to fly on international as well as domestic routes.
