Iglesia de San Lucas (Church of San Lucas)
This church is the oldest church in Cabo San Lucas, which is located on Calle Cabo San Lucas near the main plaza. The church was built by the Spanish missionary Nicolás Tamaral in 1730. A large bell is located in the stone archway commemorates the completion of the church in 1746. The Church of San Lucas is the most widely attended church in the Cabo area even though it has a gruesome past. It is believed that the founder of the church Tamaral was actually murdered by the original inhabitants of the town, the Pericúe Indians because they found his demands for monogamy highly objectionable.
Casa de la Cultura
The Casa de la Cultura is a pink, colonial style building which hosts dance and music performances along with other artistic exhibits. The building also has much history associated with it, as it served as a refuge for U.S. Citizens during the U.S. –Mexican War of 1847.
Cardon Gallery
The Cardon Gallery is located in the Plaza Nautica and offers reproductions of art and artifacts from old-world Mexico. These contemporary sculptures and installations are fashioned out of ceramic, brass, paper mache and copper and are available for sale.
Land's End
