Emirate Airline to resume flights services to Libya

Emirates Airline recently announced it will be resuming its flights services to Libya soon. Emirates Airline flights to Libya were suspended last year after the country plunged into political turmoil and civil war.
 
Jean Luc Grillet, Emirates Airline’s Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations for Africa, said that for quite some time now the situation in Libya is being closely monitored by the company and there’s a feeling now that this is the right time to relaunch the flights services.

Jean said that the resuming of flights to the Libyan capital Tripoli would be of great help in supporting business, international trade and passenger travel as well as str4engtheing the country’s overall infrastructure.

Emirates Airline, which stopped its flights services to Tripoli in February last year, will emulate Etihad Airways which began flight operations to Libya in January this year.

Emirates Airline disclosed that it will resume four weekly flights to Tripoli starting from October 29, 2012. The flights will be operated every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
